Titirangi Cloud
Bespoke Kitchen Design for a Modern Titirangi Family Home
Nestled amidst the lush Titirangi bush, this multi-level family home, designed for a young family embarking on their schooling journey, boasts breathtaking city views. Lara Farmilo Design crafted a seamless living space that integrates a striking kitchen, elegant entryway, and concealed scullery, creating a cohesive flow into the main living area. This bespoke kitchen design in Auckland is both a functional family hub and a sophisticated centrepiece for the home.
The entryway features a clever combination of benchtop-height cabinetry and floor-to-ceiling timber panelling, maximising storage with a cleaning cupboard and a hidden door leading to the scullery. Tucked discreetly behind the kitchen, the scullery serves as a dedicated baking zone and appliance hub, allowing the family to close the door and keep the main kitchen pristine – a practical solution for busy family life.

At the heart of the kitchen lies a grand island, clad in stunning Super White leathered granite, as per the clients’ vision for a bold, stone-wrapped centrepiece. To amplify its impact, a suspended timber-panelled ‘cloud’ ceiling feature mirrors the island’s shape, with recessed LED strip lighting adding a warm, contemporary glow. The island doubles as a casual dining spot where the children gather while meals are prepared, fostering connection in the bustling household.
Equipped with premium Neff appliances, the kitchen offers a versatile cooking experience. A Neff downdraft system integrated into the island ensures uninterrupted views and a sleek aesthetic, eliminating the need for an overhead rangehood. Minimalist design is achieved through handleless drawers and pull-outs with horizontal negative detailing, while tall cupboards and integrated fridges feature functional vertical negatives for ease of use.

This Titirangi kitchen exemplifies Lara Farmilo Design’s expertise in creating tailored, high-end spaces that blend luxury with practicality. From the stone-clad island to the hidden scullery, every element reflects the family’s lifestyle and the home’s unique connection to its natural surroundings, delivering a space they’ll cherish for years to come.
