For these clients their home had provided them with years of service whilst their family was growing up. Now it was time to renovate for the next chapter of their lives.

They loved to entertain and so the kitchen was to be the centerpiece of their new home's transformation, evolving from a cramped, dark area into an open, light-filled haven.

Lara Farmilo Design was asked to create a kitchen that would allow for entertaining large groups of friends and family. The 4.2-meter island beautifully accommodates seating for ten guests, making every gathering feel extraordinary. Choosing the right cooking equipment was essential for their entertaining lifestyle.

The impressive range of Gaggenau appliances delivers cutting-edge technology and functionality, from the innovative induction cooktop with a built-in downdraft to the versatile 76cm-wide steam oven and traditional oven, opening the door to endless culinary possibilities and always maintaining connection with the guests. An inviting bar area enhances the entertaining experience.

Thoughtfully arranged appliances create distinct working zones in the kitchen—one dedicated to cooking and the other to the bar, featuring an automatic coffee machine, a built-in wine cooler and an instant hot water tap.

Maximizing storage was crucial in this beautifully designed space. Back-to-back units on the island, plinth drawers in the toe-kick areas, and elegant full-height cabinetry along the back wall ensure efficient use of every inch.

The striking all-stone alcove serves as a captivating night-time feature, offering a striking contrast to the solid cabinetry. With tinted glass doors, floating 3mm stainless steel shelves, and LED strip lighting, every detail comes together in perfect harmony. The handle-less appliances and cabinetry create a seamless look, allowing the alcove to truly shine.
